Country Goes Huntin’™
In A Realtree Camouflaged Bus by CamoExtreme!
Nashville, Tennessee – What happens when some of the biggest names in hunting join forces with some of the biggest names in country music? Country Goes Huntin’™!

The Second Annual Country Goes Huntin’™ was held this past weekend, and it featured special guests Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, and Daryle Singletary, who pulled up to the benefit in their one-of-a-kind camouflaged tour bus. Akins, Brock and Singletary joined forces with sponsors Spectrum Outdoors, Realtree, Kimlor Mills, The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Turkey Call Magazine, Lacrosse Footwear, CamoExtreme and Hunters Specialties, to host the second annual COUNTRY GOES HUNTIN’™ concert and hunting benefit!

On Saturday, March 20, 2004 combined efforts and the love of outdoor recreation united to raise funds for the Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program, a division of the NWTF that re-introduces disabled individuals to the outdoor sports of hunting, fishing, bird watching, and many more activities. The Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program helps buy equipment and assist men, women, and children while hunting. Spectrum Outdoors spokesman Sam Klement was pleased with the excellent turnout for this year’s event, “We had a great weekend planned thanks to all the distinguished guests and organizations that donated their time, love of the sport, and energy towards this particular benefit. However, the most rewarding aspect of the weekend was the opportunity to help a great cause on a national level and really bring awareness towards the organization, Wheelin’ Sportsmen.”

The weekend consisted of two days of hunting in Blakely, Georgia March 20-21, and a fundraiser on Monday, March 22, 2004 in Dothan, Alabama. The fundraiser was held at Westgate Park Complex in Dothan, Alabama. There was a $10 donation request to attend the benefit, but many sponsors had already contributed to the foundation. Local restaurants and Realtree Camouflage also joined to give back to those who attended this year’s event. In addition, Matt Morrett, the five time world turkey calling champion, Michael Waddell, the host of Realtree Road Trip, Jeff Banks, the author and renowned whitetail expert, and bow hunting legend, Tim Knight, also joined in on the fun. “This event really encouraged everyone to come out and raise awareness for this cause. To entice the community to come together, we came up with a great package,” Klement stated earlier today. Attendees received a free drink, meal, pictures with the Country Goes Huntin’™ celebrities, and an autographed Realtree hat.

In addition, guests enjoyed an acoustic concert at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 22! Three of the four members of the Honky Tonk Tailgate Party, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, and Daryle Singletary, showed off their newly covered Realtree Camouflaged bus! Good friends Kimlor Mills out of Orangeburg, SC provided the bedding for this one-of-a-kind tour bus.

Following the concert, a check for $3000 was presented to the Wheelin’ Sportsmen organization during a live remote on WTVY 95.5 to remind all to get in the hunt with Spectrum Outdoors!
